Week 8 Comments and Feedback

Image
The comments that help me the most are the problems with my grammar. Since I am much more of a logical/math mind I have a hard time seeing issues in my writing even when reading aloud. Having people tell me what the issues really help. I think my feedback is pretty decent. I am not very good at helping with the structure of the story, but I think I bring good creative advice and what should be expanded on by the writer. I don't really think I could say I have learned much about people. I am not an online guy and make my connections with people much better face to face. I'm happy with my blog, but for me at least I find it very hard to give your life's story on paper or even explain the nuance of how you are as a person. I need to work on my grammar going forward, and I wouldn't change anything about my intro or comment wall. Feedback Strategies

For this weeks assignment I chose Be A Mirror by Gravity Goldberg. I agree with this article because it reinforces the idea that as someone gets better feedback, they will do better. In this article it shows students will be better at reading if they think they can do better. I agree with this idea because if a person thinks they have already failed they will have no chance in succeeding. A positive mindset reinforced by authority will definitely help someone succeed. The next article I chose was Preschoolers and Praise: What kind of Messages Help Kids Grow? by Mindshift. The best part of this article in my opinion was specifying what someone is doing good at. Good job fixing the car instead of good job. This is also something that a person in a relationship should do. Say I love you because... in stead of just I love you. I used to not like getting any kind of feedback as it would hurt my feelings, but as I have gotten older I like to know what I am doing right and wrong and se...

Feedback thoughts: Thinking right

Image
I choose the article by John Spencer titled Seven Ways to Crush Self-doubt.  I really liked this article because I have always been kind of hard on myself. I have been working very hard on not comparing myself to others. I think that that is the best ways to get over your negative thoughts. Since I have stopped comparing myself and stopped thinking and talking negatively about myself I have been feeling much better and a much stronger person! The next article I choose was Why Rejection Hurts So Much by Guy Winch. I found this article to be very interesting because it shows how evolution played a roll in rejection. I liked some of the tips he gave about fighting through rejection, but what has really helped me not care about rejection was going onto Tinder and having hella girls reject me. It really helped and now I don't ever get sad when people day no. Having a high self worth is very important, so I agree with him on that aspect. The worst feedback I ever got was in high school ...
